PVF Disaster Recovery 2.0 SMF deep soak pretreatment
PVF Disaster Recovery 2.0 SMF deep soak pretreatment
DISASTER RECOVERY SERVICES MUST BE ADDED TO A PVF BY MAIL ORDER. Our Disaster Recovery deep soak pretreatment service is designed to be used with our Archival 4.0 SMF optimization service. Please make sure you select one of our PVF by Mail cleaning packages before adding our Disaster Recovery add-on service.
For vintage records or newer records with distracting surface noise, our Disaster Recovery 2.0 SMF deep soak pretreatment is your best option to minimize distracting pops and crackle. We will soak your records up to 24 hours in our cleaning solution. The prolong soaking of records loosens stubborn contaminants embedded in the groove of the record.
The softened contaminants on your records will be removed with 40 kHz / 80 kHz ultrasonic induced cavitation. Using lower frequency cavitation provides excellent surface agitation, effective for contaminant removal. The records are rinsed then proceed to our Archival 4.0 SMF sonic optimization process.
You can add our Disaster Recovery pretreatment to as few as one and up to every record in your order. Simply add the quantity of record to be pretreated and be sure to indicate with a Post-It note which records should receive this service.
Warped records happen for many reasons. Improper storage (remove your shrink wrap to avoid warping records), exposure to heat, mishandling at the pressing plant and many other factors lead to records being less than flat. Playing warped records can distort the sound, increase inner groove noise and cause skips and other unpleasant sonic artifacts.
Perfect Vinyl Forever utilizes a four hour flattening cycle in $2000 record flattening machines. This will fix nearly all dish warps and most edge warps. Your records will play true and be free from inaccurate sonic artifacts such as pitch and speed variances and channel imbalance problems.
